At least five people were killed and 25 others injured in a shooting at a gay nightclub in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Saturday.
Colorado Springs Police Lt. Pamela Castro said they received reports of a shooting at Club Q at 11.57 p.m, according to CNN. The suspect was injured and is receiving treatment, Castro said.
It was not immediately clear whether the suspect had been shot by officers. Castro said the FBI was on the scene and assisting in the case.
In a statement on social media, Club Q said they’re “devastated by the senseless attack on our community.”
“We thank the quick reactions of heroic customers that subdued the gunman and ended this hate attack,” the statement added.
