A Newmax host screamed and cut off an interview with an Iraq War veteran for suggesting that both President Joe Biden and Donald Trump deserves blame for the Afghanistan crisis.
Joe Saboe, the founder of Team America, an organization to help Americans and allies of the U.S. leave Afghanistan after the Taliban took control, appeared on Grant Stinchfield’s show to discuss the war in Afghanistan on Thursday.
“I can tell ya, this didn’t happen under president Trump,” Stinchfield told Saboe towards the end of the interview. “And I know there’s a lot of people on the left who want to blame Trump, he wanted out of Afghanistan real bad … I’ve got Americans there that are stuck. To me that’s a hostage situation.”
Before Stinchfield could end the show, Saboe interrupted him saying: “With all due respect, veterans — I’m being one, right — our friends are over there. We followed this closely for multiple administrations and we know the Trump administration’s efforts were fairly weak, that they were trying to limit the number of people that would get out so there was coordination problems for a long time.”
Stinchfield interrupted Saboe to say he was running out of time before raising this voice and screaming, “Cut him off!. Cut him off now! Cut him off now! You’re not going to blame this on President Trump on my show! That’s not happening!”
After Saboe was cut off Stinchfield added: “God bless you for being a veteran. God bless you for trying to get Americans out. But don’t come on this program and take the talking points of the left and blame President Trump! That’s not helping anybody! The Biden administration screwed this up from the very start! You know it! I know it! The country knows it!”
