AG Pam Bondi links DC sandwich incident to the ‘deep state’

Attorney General Pam Bondi suggested that the Washington DC man who threw a sandwich at a federal agent is a member of the deep state working against the Trump administration.

On Sunday a man identified as Sean Dunn, 37, threw the sandwich at a Customs and Border Protection officer, then ran into the street as officers chased him.

The incident took place as federal agents were patrolling DC just one day before Donald Trump’s official announcement that the federal government is taking over DC police and deploying the National Guard.

Jeanine Pirro, the United States attorney for the District of Columbia, announced Wednesday that Dunn has been charged with assaulting a federal officer.

Bondi weighed in on Thursday revealing that Dunn was a DOJ employee who has since been fired after the incident. The AG also accused Dunn of being an agent of the so-called ‘deep state.’

“If you touch any law enforcement officer, we will come after you,” Bondi wrote on X. “I just learned that this defendant worked at the Department of Justice — NO LONGER. Not only is he FIRED, he has been charged with a felony.”

“This is an example of the Deep State we have been up against for seven months as we work to refocus DOJ,” she added.
