Alabama inmate, corrections officer captured in Indiana.

Alabama fugitive Casey White and corrections officer Vicky White are in custody after nearly two weeks on the run, according to reports.

“We’ve captured them,” Vanderburgh County Sheriff Dave Wedding told WAAY 31,

The pair tried to evade police before they crashed the stolen car in Evansville, Indiana.

Vicky White, 56, shot herself and has been taken to a hospital, while Casey White, 38, has been taken into custody.

The news comes hours after Casey was caught on surveillance camera at an Evansville, Indiana, car wash. The owner provided the US Marshall Service with the images from a security camera.

Vicky White, who was an assistant director of corrections for Lauderdale County, took Casey White from the county jail on April 29, saying she was taking him for a mental health evaluation, which authorities learned later had never been scheduled.

She then said she was going to get medical care after dropping the inmate off because she wasn’t feeling well.

Casey White was serving 75 years for a decade long criminal history which involves, attempting to kill an ex-girlfriend, killing a dog, home invasion, carjacking, and robbery. He was also awaiting trial for murdering another woman.
