An American tourist family caused panic at Israel’s main airport on Thursday when they attempted to bring an unexploded bomb home with them, Reuters reports.
The family reportedly found the unexploded bomb during a visit to Golan Heights, packed it in their luggage and showed it to a security official at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv.
Video shows panicked travellers scrambling for safety. One man was hospitalised with injuries sustained as he tried to flee over a baggage carousel, according to Reuters.
The family was allowed to board their flight after an interrogation by security officials who gave them the all-clear.
