Americans view the Pope and progressive leaders more favorably than Trump and Trumpworld figures.

Americans view Pope Leo XIV and progressive leaders more positively compared to Donald Trump and those in his orbit, according to a new poll.

A Gallup poll, conducted between July 7-July 21, found that Pope Leo XIV has a net favorable rating of 46%, the highest among 14 U.S. and global newsmakers.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has a net favorable rating of 18% while Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has a net rating of 11% rounding out the top three.

Every other public figure on the list are rated more negatively than positively, with some worse than other. New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has a net favorability of negative 4.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump’s net favorable rating was negative 16 points. 41 percent of respondents have a favorable view of the president and 57 percent have an unfavorable view of the Republican leader. Another 2 percent had no opinion about Trump.

Among Trump administration officials, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr has a negative 5 net favorability rating, Vice President JD Vance (-11), Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth (-12) and Secretary of State Marco Rubio (-16).

Gallup noted that the favorability rating of Trump administration officials have gone down since January. Rubio and the former head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk, were the hardest hit.

At the start of the Trump administration a Gallup poll shows Rubio with a +8 rating, now it is negative 16. Musk’s net favorablity rating in January was negative 4, now it is negative 28.

Both Rubio and Musk are each down 24 points in net favorability since January, which means the former senator is now just as hated by the American public as Musk.

The Gallup poll of 1,002 adults has a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points.
