NBC reporter Shaquille Brewster was confronted by an angry man during a live coverage of Hurricane Ida from Gulfport, Mississippi on Monday.
While Brewster was updating MSNBC host Craig Melvin on the damage caused by the outer bands of Ida in Gulfport, a pickup truck pulled up and a white man ran towards Brewster and his team shouting.
“I think we even have a random person going around,” Brewster said as he turned away from the man, who could he heard shouting in the background.
As Brewster cut his report short and handed it back to Melvin in the studio, the man lunged at him.
Brewster sent a tweet after the incident saying he and his crew were “all good.”
