Conservative commentator Ann Coulter says she will vote for President Joe Biden’s re-election if former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley is the GOP nominee for president.
“If Nikki’s the nominee I will 100% vote for Biden,” Coulter wrote in a post in X/Twitter. “I can’t take another open borders Republican. If we’re going to wreck the country, let the Democrats do it.”
Coulter was a slaunch supports of Donald Trump in mainly due to his tough immigration policy and promise to build a wall in the US-Mexico border. She has since turned on the former president for failing to deliver on his most important campaign promise.
Coulter’s beef with Haley dates back to last year when she unleashed a racist and xenophobic rant, telling the GOP presidential candidate to go back to her own country. Her comments were in response to Haley pushing to remove the Confederate flag from the South Carolina statehouse after a White Supremacist killed nine people in a mass shooting at a historical Black church in Charleston in 2015.
“Why don’t you go back to your own country?” Coulter said, adding that Haley had no business “taking down parts of American history.”
Haley has been surging in GOP primary polls in recent weeks due to strong debate performances. She has overtaken Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), but still remains a distant second behind Trump.
