Trump ramped up his criticisms of AG Barr when it was reported that Hunter Biden was under federal investigation since the spring and Barr did not publicly announce this before the November election. It was also reported that Trump discussed firing Barr on Friday during a meeting at the White House.
Over the weekend Trump sent out a series of tweets attacking Barr for his decision to not notify the public about Hunter’s investigation, calling him a “big disappointment”. In private, Barr dismissed Trump’s tweets as the rantings of a “deposed king”.
