The Biden campaign responded to Donald Trump’s challenge to have the former VP take a drug test before the start of Tuesday’s debate, by making a potty joke.
“Vice President Biden intends to deliver his debate answers in words. If the president thinks his best case is made in urine he can have at it,” Kate Bedingfield, Biden’s deputy campaign manager said in a statement. “We’d expect nothing less from Donald Trump, who pissed away the chance to protect the lives of 200K Americans when he didn’t make a plan to stop COVID-19.”
Trump and his campaign have been setting expectations so low for Biden heading into the debate on Tuesday by calling him “sleepy”, “weak” essentially painting him as a doddering old fool who simply cannot remember, ‘Person. Woman. Man. Camera. TV.’ By doing this, Trump and his ilk all but ensures that Biden will have a good debate performance simply by just showing up and not collapsing on stage for two hours.
Worried about his own debate performace, Donald Trump is now lowering expectations for the debate. He’s telling his followers that if he loses to Biden come Tuesday, it is because Biden is on drugs, which is weird considering that the former VP doesn’t even drink alcohol.
