Biden mocks Trump over Nikki Haley gaffe.

Trump slams Fox News poll showing Biden leading.

President Joe Biden mocked Donald Trump on Sunday for confusing Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley with former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

“I don’t agree with Nikki Haley on everything, but we agree on this much: She is not Nancy Pelosi,” Biden wrote in a post on X/Twitter.

The post included a video highlighting Trump’s mix-up with Haley’s comments reacting to the gaffe interspersed between Trump’s remarks.

“Last night, Trump is at a rally. And he’s going on and on, mentioning me multiple times as to why I didn’t handle January 6 better. I wasn’t in office then. They’re saying he got confused,” Haley said in the ad. “He got confused. He got confused and said he was running against Obama. He never ran against Obama.”

The ad also included other notable Trump gaffes like saying you need an ID to buy bread and another claiming to be “driving over a road where it’s almost all paper. And you know, you can see paper. I know paper. I know cans.”

“Don’t put our country at risk like this,” Haley said in the ad.

Trump has been falsely accusing Pelosi of being in charge of security at the Capitol on Jan. 6 and turning down his request for National Guard troops. On Friday he repeated the debunked claim at his rally, but said Haley instead of Pelosi.

“Nikki Haley is in charge of security we offered her 10,000 people, soldiers, National Guards, whatever they want. They turned it down. They don’t want to talk about that,” Trump said. “These are very dishonest people.”

Trump later pushed back on claims he is mentally unfit while speaking at a rally on Saturday. He claimed he took a cognitive test and “aced it,” adding that he believes his “mind is stronger now than it was 25 years ago”.
