Biden responds to heckler at speech in Wisconsin: 'Everyone's entitled to be an idiot'

President Joe Biden responded to a heckler who interrupted his speech in Milwaukee, Wis., on Monday saying “everyone’s entitled to be an idiot.”

Biden traveled to Wisconsin on Labor Day to deliver remarks at LaborFest. He spoke about his support for unions and touted some Democratic legislative victories such as last year’s coronavirus relief package and his administration’s work to create more jobs for the middle class, according to The Hill.

Biden was also there to support Democratic candidates Tony Evers’ re-election for governor and Mandela Barnes who is locked in a tight race for senate with incumbent Republican Sen. Ron Johnson.

As he addressed the crowd a man who was seated near the stage began yelling. It is unclear what the man was saying before he was escorted out by security.

“No, no, no, don’t – let him go. He’s, look, everybody’s entitled to be an idiot,” Biden said drawing laughter and cheers from the crowd.
