Bill Barr mocks Trump's vocabulary: 'His verbal skills are limited'

Donald Trump’s former attorney general, Bill Barr mocked the former president over his “limited” verbal skills on Friday.

During an event at the University of Chicago Institute of Politics, Barr was asked by CBS Chief Correspondent Jan Crawford if Trump is “losing it,” pointing to the former president’s comments at a rally in Florida earlier this month praising Hezbollah as “very smart.”

“His verbal skills are limited,” Barr responded. “And so he, you know, if you get him away from ‘very, very, very,’ the adjectives sort of– they’re unfamiliar to him and they sort of spill out and he goes too far. You know, he’s not very disciplined when it comes to what he says.”

Barr has been a vocal critic of Trump since he resigned from the administration in December 2020 after debunking the lie about widespread voter fraud in the presidential election.

Trump has received bipartisan condemnation for his comments praising Hezbollah. However, he appeared to have doubled down on those comments Friday. He reposted an article on his Truth Social app that argued he was right to praise the terrorists.
