Bondi vows to target other Trump enemies while declaring that ‘weaponization has ended.’

Attorney General Pam Bondi declared on Fox News Friday night that ‘weaponization has ended,’ then proceeded to identify some individuals Donald Trump will weaponize the government against next.

In a post on his Truth Social app last week, Trump pressured Bondi to charge three people who’ve raised his ire: Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif.; New York State Attorney General Letitia James; and former FBI Director James Comey.

Comey was indicted this week on charges of giving false statements and obstruction of a congressional proceeding. He could face up to five years in prison if convicted.

Trump later told reporters that he expects more of his adversaries to face criminal indictment after Comey.

But in an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Friday, Bondi claimed the Justice Department is not being weaponized to target Trump’s enemies.

“Donald Trump is in office, and the weaponization has ended!’ she said in a clip highlighted by Mediaite.

Bondi then contradicted herself in the next sentence by identifying individuals and organizations that the Trump administration has on its target list.

“We’ve made that very clear. Whether you’re a former FBI director, whether you’re a former head of an intel community.Whether you are a current state or local elected official. Whether you are a billionaire funding organizations to try to keep Donald Trump out of office. Everything is on the table. We will investigate you, and we will end the weaponization,” she said.

“No longer will there be a two-tier system of justice, and we are working hand-in-hand, Director Patel and I, Todd Blanche, with our incredible intel community,” she continued. “Tulsi Gabbard, John Ratcliffe are going non-stop around the clock. People will be held accountable.”

In addition to Schiff, Comey, and James. Trump has been pressuring the Justice Department to indict his former National Security Adviser, John Bolton, who wrote a book criticizing him, and former CIA Director John Brennan, over his role in the 2016 Russia investigation. The administration has also backed an investigation of the Federal Reserve Board member Lisa Cook, looking into debunked claims of mortgage fraud.

Trump has also signed a memo targeting ‘left-wing extremism’. FBI Director Kash Patel said law enforcement would focus their efforts on who is funding such groups, saying he plans to “follow the money.”

The New York Times reported that a senior Justice Department official had instructed more than half a dozen U.S. attorneys’ offices to draft plans to investigate the Open Society Foundations, which was started by billionaire investor and Democratic megadonor George Soros.
