Bragg's staff keeps hanging up on Jim Jordan's aides: "Stop calling us with this bullsh*t”

Staffers in Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office reportedly hang up on aides working for the Jim Jordan led House Judiciary Committee, according to a report from the New York Post.

Bragg’s office is investigating former President Donald Trump’s alleged hush-money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 election.

An aide working for the House Judiciary committee said he called Bragg’s office around noon on Wednesday but the woman who answered the phone ended the call as soon as he identified himself.

The staffer said he called a second time and another woman told him, “your committee has no jurisdiction over us. You’re wrong. Stop calling us with this bullshit.”

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen any government entity respond to Congress in that manner,” the aide complained. “It’s quite embarrassing, but I don’t think anyone is surprised based on how partisan that office has become.”

House Republicans jumped to Trump’s defense after he falsely claimed last weekend that he was getting arrested Tuesday.

On Monday, three House Republican committee chairmen, led by Jordan the Judiciary Committee chair, sent a letter to Bragg seeking documents and testimony about their investigation and potential indictment of Trump.

Bragg called their requests “unprecedented” and “an unlawful incursion into New York’s sovereignty,” in his response on Thursday. “It is clear that Congress cannot have any legitimate legislative task relating to the oversight of local prosecutors enforcing state law,” Bragg added.

The DA also noted that their request only came “after Donald Trump created a false expectation that he would be arrested the next day and his lawyers reportedly urged you to intervene.”
