Caitlyn Jenner flies to Australian to film 'Celebrity Big Brother' two months before recall election.

Reality TV star and California gubernatorial recall election candidate, Caitlyn Jenner is in Australia just two months before the recall election of Gov. Gavin Newsom(D), to shoot another season of reality television, according to Politico.

A spokesperson for Jenner’s campaign confirmed to Politico that she is in Sydney, Australia to appear on “Big Brother VIP” and that she will be back in time to campaign across California on a “bus tour” ahead of the Sept. 14 election.

“I am honoring a work commitment that I had made prior to even deciding to run for governor. There is no pause at all on this race to save CA!” Jenner said on Twitter Friday.

Friday was the deadline for candidates to file paperwork and tax returns to run to replace Newsom in the recall election. Jenner filed her nomination papers on Thursday, according to Los Angeles County records.

41 candidates are running to replace Newsom, include former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer, businessman John Cox, former Rep. Doug Ose and Assemblymember Kevin Kiley (R-Rocklin). The recall election is costing taxpayers an estimated $276 million. It will be only the second gubernatorial recall election in California history.

Newsom has momentum, including nearly $30 million in campaign funding, and polls so far show challengers face a long shot to oust him.
