California LGBTQ club bans all MAGA-related attire.

Badlands, a popular LGBTQ club in Sacramento, California has banned all MAGA gear from their establishment.

In a post on social media, the club’s owner TJ Bruce said the move is in response to a patron wearing MAGA attire—popular with supporters of Donald Trump—to the club which “led to discomfort among some patrons.”

“We initially decided to ban all political attire to avoid further issues. However, after careful consideration, we’ve realized that a blanket ban is not the right approach,” the announced said. “Moving forward, MAGA-related attire will not be allowed in the venue. This decision is not about banning political beliefs — it is about ensuring that Badlands remains a space where our community feels comfortable and supported.”

Steven Bourasa, the man who wore the hat to Badlands told a local NBC affiliate that he decided to wear his MAGA gear to the bar for the first time to “see what happens.”

Bourasa said he had a “pleasant time” and was surprised to hear about the new policy. He plans to go back but will leave his MAGA gear at home next time.
