Capitol rioter seen at the border with Republican lawmakers: Report.

A Texas man who participated in the January 6 Capitol riot was spotted on the border on Tuesday night with Republican lawmakers during their visit, according to CNN.

Anthony Aguero, a conservative Youtuber and a close ally of Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene showed up at the border, and even acted as a translator during parts of the lawmakers’ visit.

He also posted a livestream of the event on his YouTube channel, interviewing multiple Republican House members including Reps. Lauren Boebert (Colo.), Madison Cawthorn (N.C.), Tom Tiffany (Wis.), Michael Cloud (Texas), Mary Miller (Ill.), Ronny Jackson (Texas), John Rose (Tenn.) and Chris Jacobs (N.Y.).

“I appreciate the Congressmen and Congresswomen that went out of their way to come to the Border to see the crisis for themselves,” Aguero told CNN in a statement. He did not answer when asked how he ended up at the border with member of Congress, but according to the network he told lawmakers that he was an “independent journalist” with Border Network News.

Aguero has not been charged in connection to the Capitol riot.

CNN’s KFILE obtained video from January 6 that shows Aguero entering the Capitol Rotunda and chanted ‘our house’ on the Capitol steps.

The trip to the border was organized by the Republican Study Committee. Buckley Carlson the group’s deputy communications director claimed they did not invite Aguero to the border and had no idea who he was.

“Chairman (Jim) Banks never spoke to the individual in question, the Republican Study Committee was unaware of his identity and whereabouts on January 6, and he did not travel with our group to the border,” Carlson said in a statement to CNN.
