Democratic strategist James Carville issued a scathing rebuke of Donald Trump, suggesting he should be tested for syphilis after a hostile meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House on Friday.
On his Politicon podcast, Carville took aim at Trump’s appearance, describing him as a “fat fucking slob” with a “beached whale body” before noting the recent “red splotches on[Trump’s] hand.”
“I was told by any number of medical professionals that, when you see that condition, the first thing you suspect is syphilis,” Carville said.
If left untreated syphilis can lead to severe complications affecting several organs including the brain, which can result in erratic behavior in infected patients.
“What you saw is madness,” Carville said of Trump’s meltdown in the Oval Office. “I don’t mean madness like I’m mad at you. You’re mad at me. I’m talking about madness like King George III kind of madness.”
“And it could be a combination of being a fat fucking slob — which of course he is, He could be that he can’t sleep at night because his beached whale body can’t allow the circulation it needs,” he added.
Carville noted that he is not an expert but, “we should revisit the possibility of a syphilis diagnosis.”
“I don’t think we can discount the fact that what we saw was mad. I’m just making an observation that everyone saw,” he said. “We know that boy ain’t right. We know that. We saw it.”
