Chris Christie: Trump will likely be ‘out on bail’ by August GOP debate.

Christie slams Trump for quoting Putin: "He gets worse and worse by the day"

Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie said Donald Trump will likely be “out on bail ” by the GOP primary debate in August.

Christie made the comments during an interview on CNN’s ‘State of the Union’ Sunday when asked to respond to remarks Trump made at a rally in Pennsylvania Saturday night.

At the rally Trump criticized Republicans for not “fighting the way they’re supposed to fight,” adding  “the others” are “dirty sick players” while Republicans are “very high class.”

“He’s not even clearing that bar,” Christie told CNN Sunday. “It is most likely that, by the time we get on the debate stage on August 23, the front-runner will be out on bail in four different jurisdictions Florida, Washington, Georgia, and New York.”

Trump has been indicted in Florida over his alleged mishandling of classified documents. The former president was also indicted in New York over hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential election. Trump also faces potential indictments in Washington D.C and Georgia for his attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Meanwhile, the former president and current front-runner for the GOP nomination has shown no interest in debating his primary opponents.

“At the moment, President Trump has indicated that he’s unlikely to participate, at least in the first two debates. He’s up by 30, 40, and even new polling shows he’s up by almost 50 percent in certain places. It really wouldn’t make much sense for him to go and debate right now with a bunch of folks who are down at three, four and five percent,” Trump’s former advisor Jason Miller said.

“So ultimately, President Trump will make a decision as we get closer. He has not said anything definitive, one way or the other. I’m not expecting him to participate, though,” Miller said.
