Christian group targets Donald Trump in new ad: "The days of using our faith for your benefit are over.”

A Christian Super PAC is taking on Donald Trump in a new ad calling him a hypocrite when it comes to matters of faith, the Huffington Post reports.

The group, ‘Not Our Faith’ warns Donald Trump that “the days of using our faith for your benefit are over. We know you need the support of Christians like us to win this election. But you can’t have it.”

The ad also accuses Trump of “using Christianity for his own purposes,” and showed images of him standing in front of the St. Johns Episcopal Church holding up the Bible after teargassing peaceful protesters and posing with prominent evangelical leaders like Jerry Falwell Jr and Paula White.

“Christians don’t need Trump to save them,” the ad states. “The truth is that Trump needs Christians to save his flailing campaign.”

This is just the tip of the iceberg. The group is launching a six figure ad campaign to target Christian voters. Michael Wear, a faith adviser to former President Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign who now serves as an advisory council for the group told AP that “Christian support is on the table in this election” and they are “going after all of it”.
