Clarence Thomas offered $1 million a year to resign from the Supreme Court.

Clarence Thomas misses Supreme Court argument with no explanation.

Clarence Thomas has been offered a deal to resign effective immediately from the United States Supreme Court.

Last Week Tonight host comedian John Oliver offered Thomas, the longest serving justice on the court, $1 million a year and a motor coach if he resigns.

During the show Sunday night, Oliver referenced reports of Thomas receiving luxury gifts and vacations from wealthy right-wing donors and ignoring calls to resign for failing to disclose them.

“Clarence Thomas is arguably the most consequential justice on the court right now and he’s never really seemed to like the job. He said, ‘It’s not worth doing for the grief.’ So what if he can keep the luxury perks he clearly enjoys without having to endure all of that grief,” Oliver said.

He then revealed his special offer, which includes “one million dollars a year for the rest of [Thomas’] life” and a “brand new top-of-the-line cray boat marathon motor coach!”

The coach is valued at $2.4 million and comes complete with a king-sized bed, fireplace, and four televisions.

But, the offer expires in 30 days.

“So that’s the offer. $1 million a year, Clarence. And a brand new condo on wheels. And all you have to do in return is sign the contract and get the fuck off the Supreme Court. Talk it over with your totally best friend in the whole world,” Oliver said referring to Thomas’ wife Ginni.

“The clock starts now. Thirty days, Clarence,” Oliver concluded.” Let’s do this!”
