CNN host Jim Acosta called Fox News a dangerous “bullshit factory” during a segment on disinformation and conspiracy theories on his show on Saturday.
“That tale from the border didn’t just border on B.S., this was USDA, grade-A bullshit,” Acosta said in reference to the New York Post story that falsely claimed migrant children were being gifted a book written by Vice-President Kamala Harris as part of “welcome kits,” when they crossed the border.
The story was retracted and the reporter who wrote it resigned. “But the damage was already done, pumped out over the airwaves at the bullshit factory also known as Fox News,” Acosta said.
Acosta also referred to Tucker Carlson as “Fox News’ Doctor of Disinformation,” saying he “sounds like he went to medical school at Trump University.”
