Colorado officials ask Congress to investigate Rep. Lauren Boebert's actions.

Dozens of elected officials in Colorado’s 3rd Congressional District have written to Congressional leaders asking them to investigate their representative Rep. Lauren Boebert’s actions in the days leading up to and during the deadly attack on the US Capitol last Wednesday.

In the letter published by KUSA the officials wrote, “Boebert’s actions, including her statements on the floor immediately preceding the insurrection and her social media posts leading up to the riots were irresponsible and reprehensible.”

“We believe there is more than enough information to warrant an investigation and we ask that you follow through with any appropriate disciplinary actions,” the officials added.

Boebert has been facing calls to resign over tweeting out the location of lawmakers as the Capitol was being breached.

She responded to calls for her to resign by calling Democrats hypocrites.

“We should take Democrats at their word when they say never let a crisis go to waste,” Boebert said in a statement. “Their hypocrisy is on full display with talks of impeachment, censure and other ways to punish Republicans for false accusations of inciting the type of violence they have so frequently and transparently supported in the past.”

Boebert was not the only lawmaker to tweet during the attack on the nation’s Capitol last week, but she was the only lawmaker to reveal the location of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
