Conservative poll shows Harris leading Trump by 5 points.

If the elections were held today, Vice-President Kamala Harris would easily defeat Donald Trump, according to new data from pro-Trump pollster Scott Rasmussen.

Rasmussen’s poll shows Harris with a 5 point lead over Trump, receiving 47 percent support to Trump’s 42 percent. Six percent of respondents say they would vote for independent candidate Robert Kennedy Jr.

The poll was conducted by Rasmussen’s polling company RMG Research between July 29 and July 31 among 3000 registered voters.

“We don’t know yet if this is a temporary bounce or the first indicator of lasting change in the race… A week ago, it was a toss-up (Trump 44% Harris 43%),” Rasmussen said.

Polls so far have consistently show that Harris is a more formidable opponent to Trump than Biden.

Since Biden stepped aside as the Democratic party nominee for president, polls have shown a much tighter race between Harris and Trump with the VP either closing Trump’s lead or surpassing him even in the crucial battleground states.
