Convicted Jan. 6 rioter heading to prison tells CNN 'I know that Trump will pardon me'

A Trump supporter who was sentenced to prison for her role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot is not worried because she “knows” the former president will pardon her if he wins in November.

CNN reporter Donie O’Sullivan interviewed Rachel Powell for an episode of The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper, titled “MisinfoNation: The Trump Faithful” which aired on Sunday.

Powell, also known as “Pink Hat Lady” and “Bullhorn Lady,” was  convicted of eight charges related to the Jan. 6 insurrection last year and was sentence to 57 months in prison and 36 months of supervised release.

In her last interview before she reports to prison, Powell told O’Sullivan that she still supports Trump while showing off an autographed Trump hat and expressed confidence that the former president will pardon her if he returns to the White House.

“He has made it clear he’s going to pardon us,” Powell said, referring to Trump. “I know he’ll pardon me. That’s not a hope. I know that Trump will pardon me.”

Powell says the upcoming presidential election is “huge” for her because it is a “matter of life and death.”

If Trump wins, “I will get out of prison,” she said.
