Congress could not be more divided in the aftermath of the Capitol riots. And the fact that freshman Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has supported calls to execute Democrats in the past is not helping.
Politico reports that lawmakers are privately refusing to work with each other and others are afraid to be in the same room. Now one Democratic congresswoman is saying she will be moving her office away from Greene’s for safety reasons.
Freshman Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) made the decision to move as far away from Greene as possible after she and her staff were “berated” by a maskless Greene in a hallway on Capitol Hill.
Greene, a QAnon supporter has been facing calls to resign since she join Congress. Calls for her resignation intensified this week after CNN found past social media activity from 2018 and 2019 that shows Greene endorsing violence against top Democratic politicians including current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Video also shows Greene mocking a survivor of the Parkland High School shooting and Media Matters found 2018 post by Greene claiming that the deadly California wildfire was started by a laser beam from space controlled by then Gov. Jerry Brown.
It was the latest discovery from Greene who has a pattern of spreading conspiracy theories about tragic events.
