Democratic Senator dismisses questions about Biden's age.

Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.) dismissed questions about Joe Biden’s age on Sunday, saying he is in “fighting form” and has a great record to run on in 2024.

“I saw the president last night, he was in fighting form. I saw him at the event with the South Korean president. Again, great press conference,” Van Hollen said on “Fox News Sunday, according to The Hill.” “The president has a great record. He’s also been one of the most productive presidents in recent history, when it comes to a legislative record.”

On Saturday, Biden made fun of age during his speech at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

“Look, I get that age is a completely reasonable issue,” he said. “You might think I don’t like Rupert Murdoch. That’s simply not true. How can I dislike a guy who makes me look like Harry Styles?”

“Call me old, I call it being seasoned. You say I am ancient, I say I’m wise. You say I’m over the hill, Don Lemon would say, ‘That’s a man in his prime,'” Biden also said at the event referencing ageist and sexist comments former CNN anchor Don Lemon made about Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley before he was fired from the network.

However, polling shows that Biden’s age is a major factor for voters heading into 2024. About 70% of voters in a recent NBC News poll believe Biden should not run for re-election and age was the top issue.
