Deputy who shot unarmed black man several times, gave him a ride home moments before.

The Virginia sheriff’s deputy who shot an unarmed black man multiple times early Wednesday after he called 911 for help, actually gave him a ride home moments before the incident.

Isaiah Brown, 32 received a ride home from the deputy after his car broke down at a gas station several miles from his home at 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday, according to NBC Washington.

Moments later Brown called 911about a dispute he had with his brother.

Brown told the 911 dispatcher that he was going to “kill his brother” and someone “need to come here quick.” He then tells the 911 dispatcher that he is walking down the road with his house phone and he doesn’t have a gun on him.

The deputy who dropped Brown off moments earlier responded to the call and shot him as he stood in the road talking with the 911 dispatcher on a cordless phone.

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office released audio of the 911 call as well as bodycam footage of the incident on Friday.

In the audio, the deputy could be heard shouting commands at Brown.

“Show me your hands. Show me your hands. Show me your hands, now. Show me your hands. Drop the gun. He’s got a gun to his head. Drop the gun now. Stop walking towards me. Stop walking towards me. Stop. Stop,” he said before firing his weapon.

He repeated his commands after he fired before starting CPR on Brown.

Brown was shot six times in the abdomen during the incident and is in the intensive Care Unit “fighting for his life as a result of these completely avoidable errors by the deputy and dispatch,” his attorney said.
