Leo Terrell, a former Fox News contributor now working as a lawyer at the Trump justice department said former First Lady Dr. Jill Biden could face criminal charges after Joe Biden’s cancer diagnosis.
On Sunday, former President Joe Biden’s office revealed in a statement that he is battling an “aggressive” form of prostate cancer characterized by a “Gleason score of 9 with metastasis to the bone.”
Donald Trump’s supporters responded to the news by claiming that several members of Biden’s inner circle, including his wife, knew about the former president’s condition for some time and kept it hidden.
Terrell, a senior counselor to the assistant attorney general for civil rights, responded to a post on Twitter alleging that Jill Biden “knew about President Biden’s health problems” but “still wanted him to run for President.”
“Elder abuse! Criminal charges??” Terrell wrote.
Terrell also reposted another tweet accusing Jill Biden of domestic violence.
“Elder abuse is a form of domestic violence and Dr Biden has a lot of explaining to do about her part in defrauding the American people and taxpayers,” the post on reads that he reshared read. “I would never wish Joe Biden physical harm despite my personal political views; too bad his own family compromised his well-being.”
Former President Biden, meanwhile, shared a photo of himself and Jill with their pet cat, Willow, on Monday morning.
“Cancer touches us all,” Biden wrote in the post on Twitter. “Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”
