Donald Trump Jr. continues to mock the death of 42-year-old cinematographer Halyna Hutchins three days after Alec Baldwin accidentally shot and killed her on the set for his new movie, Rust, and he’s now making money off it.
Trump Jr is selling t-shirts on his website for $27.99 with a slogan mocking the incident that reads, “Guns don’t kill people, Alec Baldwin kills people.” According to the Daily Beast, Jr. also posted a photoshopped image of Baldwin wearing one of the shirts on his Instagram stories.
“Screw all the sanctimony I’m seeing out there. If the shoe was on the other foot Alex Baldwin would literally be the first person pissing on everybody’s grave trying to make a point. Fuck him!,” Trump Jr. wrote in a post.
Baldwin drew the ire of the far right due to his mocking portrayal of Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live (SNL) and his advocacy for stricter gun laws.
Republican Senate candidate in Ohio J.D. Vance urged Twitter to “let Trump back on” because “we need Baldwin tweets,” while Candace Owens called the shooting ‘poetic justice.” Republican congresswoman Rep. Lauren Boebert also used Hutchins’ death to troll Baldwin.
