In his off the rails interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Donald Trump said he wanted to make things easier and just file ‘one nice, big beautiful lawsuit’ alleging election fraud but his lawyers told him that he didn’t have the legal standing to do so.
“We have stories that are unbelievable, but we aren’t allowed to put in our proof. They say we don’t have standing,” Trump claimed. “I said to the lawyers, I would like to file one nice, big, beautiful lawsuit. Talking about this and many other things, with tremendous proof.”

According to Trump, his lawyers told him that he did not have the legal grounds to file a suit.
“You mean as president of the United States, I don’t have standing?. What kind of court system is this? And the judges stay away from it,” Trump said.

Instead of filing the one, nice, big beautiful lawsuit, the Trump campaign filed a number of suits in states around the country, most of which were thrown out, in some cases by Republican appointed judges.
