Elise Stefanik ad claims Democrats are planning a “permanent election insurrection”

Elise Stefanik claims in new ad that Democrats are planning a "permanent election insurrection”

House GOP conference chairwoman Rep. Elise Stefanik (R–N.Y) is claiming that Democrats are planning a “permanent election insurrection” in one of several new campaign ads released on Facebook this week, The Hill reports.

“Radical Democrats are planning their most aggressive move yet: a PERMANENT ELECTION INSURRECTION,” one of the ads paid for by Stefanik’s campaign said. “Their plan to grant amnesty to 11 MILLION illegal immigrants will overthrow our current electorate and create a permanent liberal majority in Washington.”

According to The Hill, the ad included a photo of President Joe Biden in his aviator sunglasses reflecting what appears to be migrants.

Another ad ran on Wednesday claiming “Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Nancy Pelosi are attempting to flood our voter roles with 11 MILLION NEW VOTERS by giving illegal immigrants amnesty.”

This after the House Judiciary Committee approved the immigration language for the upcoming reconciliation bill being used for the Democrats’ $3.5 trillion spending plan on Monday.

The White House and congressional Democrats are pushing to add a path to legal residency for 8 million immigrants including, Dreamers, essential workers and those with Temporary Protected Status to the bill.

The ads were released days before a scheduled Sept. 18 rally at the Capitol in support of the insurrectionists charged in connection with Jan. 6 when a mob of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol to block the certification of President Joe Biden’s victory.

The congresswoman ran similar ads in August.

“As another right-wing mob descends upon the Capitol this weekend, Republican Congresswoman Elise Stefanik is echoing the same vile rhetoric that has led to several acts of violence in recent years,” DNC spokesperson Adonna Biel said in a statement on Thursday. “Stefanik and the House GOP are recycling the same racist and xenophobic playbook they used in 2018 that ultimately cost them the House. Apparently, this is what it takes to become a member of House Republican leadership — xenophobia and a remarkable commitment to pushing the Big Lie that led to an actual insurrection,” she continued.
