Right wing billionaire Elon Musk slammed House Republicans for passing Donald Trump’s ‘Big, Beautiful’ bill and urged voters to remove them from office next November.
“In November next year, we fire all politicians who betrayed the American people,” Musk wrote in response to an X user who suggested that the contents of Trump’s big, beautiful bill is not the “major reform the American people voted for.”
The bill narrowly passed on a 215-214, vote in the House. Two Republicans — Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Warren Davidson of Ohio — joined all Democrats present in opposition.
In another post on Tuesday Musk called the massive bill which encompasses Trump’s domestic policy agenda a “disgusting abomination.”
“I’m sorry, but I just can’t stand it anymore,” Musk wrote in a post on X. “This massive, outrageous, pork-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting abomination. Shame on those who voted for it: you know you did wrong. You know it.”
Musk also sent a flurry of posts including saying the bill “will massively increase the already gigantic budget deficit to $2.5 trillion (!!!) and burden America citizens with crushingly unsustainable debt;” another that “Congress is making America bankrupt.”
The bill adds about $3.8 trillion to the federal government’s $36.2 trillion in debt over the next decade, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.
