Elon Musk says he will reverse Donald Trump’s permanent ban if he completes his purchase of Twitter.
“I think it was a morally bad decision to be clear and foolish in the extreme,” Musk told the Financial Times. “I do think it was not correct to ban Donald Trump. I think that was a mistake. It alienated a large part of the country and did not ultimately result in Donald Trump not having a voice.”
Trump was permanently banned from Twitter after the Jan. 6 Capitol attack “due to the risk of further incitement of violence.”
He recently said he will not be returning to the platform and has become more active on his social media app TRUTH Social.
