FBI searches Biden's home amid classified documents probe.

The FBI conducted a “planned search” of President Joe Biden’s home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on Wednesday amid the special counsel investigation into his handling of classified documents, the president’s personal attorney Bob Bauer revealed in a statement.

“Today, with the President’s full support and cooperation, the DOJ is conducting a planned search of his home in Rehoboth, Delaware,” Bauer wrote in a statement.

“Under DOJ’s standard procedures, in the interests of operational security and integrity, it sought to do this work without advance public notice, and we agreed to cooperate,” Bauer said. “The search today is a further step in a thorough and timely DOJ process we will continue to fully support and facilitate.”

The search was conducted on the same day that special counsel Robert Hur officially took over the investigation of Biden’s handling of classified documents, according to Washington Post.

Hur was appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland last month after documents with classified markings were found at Biden’s Wilmington residence and a Washington think tank office.

Biden’s attorney said last month that they previously searched the Rehoboth home and found no classified documents.

Wednesday is the third time federal agents have searched a property belonging to Biden for classified documents. None of the three searches required a warrant.
