Fetterman blasts Democrats for protesting during Trump’s speech.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) slammed members of his own party for their conduct during Donald Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress on Tuesday.

In a post on Twitter Wednesday, Fetterman claims that Democrats risks getting tuned out by voters due to their constant opposition to Trump.

“A sad cavalcade of self owns and unhinged petulance,” Fetterman said in the tweet. “It only makes Trump look more presidential and restrained.

“We’re becoming the metaphorical car alarms that nobody pays attention to — and it may not be the winning message.”

Democrats wore color-coordinated outfits and waved placards with messages criticizing Trump and Elon Musk throughout the speech as a form of protest.

But, one Democrat, Rep. Al Green (D-TX) took it a step further by protesting the GOP’s planned cuts to Medicaid during Trump’s address and was subsequently booted from the chamber by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.)
