Fetterman to meet with Trump at Mar-a-Lago.

Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) is set to meet with President-elect Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago.

According to CBS News, Fetterman accepted an invitation to meet at Trump’s Florida residence at an undisclosed upcoming date.

“That is the plan. Yes, we are going to have a conversation,” Fetterman told the outlet.

“I think that one, he’s the president, or he will be officially,” Fetterman said. “And I think it’s pretty reasonable that if the president would like to have a conversation — or invite someone to have a conversation — to have it. And no one is my gatekeeper.”

The trip will mark the first time a Democratic senator meet with Trump at the property since he won the November election.

Since the election, Fetterman has signaled an openness to more willingly embrace Trump than his Democratic colleagues.

Fetterman has also indicated that he is open to supporting the president-elect’s most controversial nominees including Pete Hegseth, Trump’s nominee for defense secretary who is accused of sexual assault and Kash Patel, Trump’s pick to lead the FBI who has promised to use the agency to target Trump’s critics.
