FIFA Club World Cup champs will get replica trophy because Trump kept the original.

Soccer club, Chelsea will reportedly receive a replica of the Club World Cup championship trophy because Donald Trump is keeping the original.

After more than 90 minutes of play on Sunday, Chelsea defeated Paris Saint-Germain, 3-0 in the inaugural club World Cup final. After crashing the club’s celebration on stage, Trump told Dazn that he is keeping the original trophy on orders of FIFA president Gianni Infantino and the club will get a replica.

“[Fifa] is doing fantastically well for [football in America], it’s a growing sport, it is a great sport,” Trump said.

“They said, ‘could you hold this trophy for a little while?’. We put it in the Oval Office and then I said, ‘when are you going to pick up the trophy’, and [Infantino] said, ‘we’re never going to pick it up, you can have it forever in the Oval Office’”.

“And they actually made a new one [for Chelsea] but right now [the original] is in the Oval,” he said.

Trump also received a club World Cup winner’s medal from Infantino.

Last week, Infantino announced that FIFA opened an office in Trump Tower in New York ahead of the 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
