Press Secretary, Jen Psaki said on Tuesday that first dogs, Champ and Major will be returning to the White House soon after a biting incident “that resulted in a minor injury.”
“Champ and Major the president and first lady’s dogs are still getting acclimated and accustomed to their new surroundings and new people,” Psaki told reporters Tuesday.
“And on Monday the first family’s younger dog, Major, was surprised by an unfamiliar person and reacted in a way that resulted in a minor injury to the individual, which was handled by the White House Medical Unit with no further treatment needed.”
The dogs were previously scheduled to travel back to Delaware since First Lady Dr. Jill Biden will be traveling to visit military bases this week. But the dogs “will return to the White House soon,” she added.
