Florida restaurant owner tells supporters of President Biden to 'take your business elsewhere'

A restaurant owner in Florida put up a sign outside her business telling supporters of President Joe Biden to not enter her establishment.

Angie Ugarte, the owner of DeBary Diner in Volusia County, FL., posted the sign on her front door because she is angry over the deaths of 13 U.S. soldiers during the evacuation from Afghanistan last week.

“If you voted for and continue to support and stand behind the worthless, inept and corrupt administration currently inhabiting the White House that is complicit in the death of our servicemen and women in Afghanistan, please take your business elsewhere,” the sign reads.

Ugarte told Fox35 Orlando that she posted the sign the same day service members were killed in Afghanistan.

“It was the only thing I felt like I could do,” she said. “I was just angry. I was just let down. I felt like one of those mothers, or wives, or sisters who were gonna get that knock on the door.”

She said most of her regular customers are vets and has dedicated an entire wall in her restaurant to members of the military.

“If you really, really still stand behind what’s allowed this to happen and the way it happened – which was unnecessary then I really don’t want to be associated with you in any way and I certainly don’t want your business,” she told FOX 35 News.

She says the sign has received mixed reactions from customers. Some turn and walk away when they see the sign, while others have praised it, Ugarte explained.

She plans to keep the sign on her front door for as long as Americans are in Afghanistan. The number of Americans who want to leave Afghanistan but were not evacuated is less than 200, according to Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
