Former NSA contractor Reality Winner has been released from prison.

Reality Winner, the former National Security Agency contractor sentenced for leaking classified government information, has been released from prison, her attorney said Monday.

“I am thrilled to announce that Reality Winner has been released from prison,” Alison Grinter Allen, her lawyer, said in a statement posted on Twitter.

Allen said Winner and her family are working to “heal the trauma of incarceration and build back the years lost.”

In 2018, Winner was sentenced to more than five years in prison after she leaked classified information to the media about Russia meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

She pleaded guilty to leaking a classified report that detailed the Russian government’s efforts to penetrate a Florida-based voting software supplier. At the time, the sentence was the longest ever for a federal crime involving leaks to the media, according to NBC News.

Winner was the first person to be prosecuted by the Trump’s administration for leaking sensitive government information.
