Fourth resident of The Villages arrested for suspected voter fraud.

A fourth resident of The Villages in Florida has been arrested for voter fraud, the Orlando Sentinel reports.

Charles Franklin Barnes, 64 has been accused of casting more than one ballot in the election, one out-of-state and the other in Florida.


Barnes, who is not registered with any political party on Florida voted both in the Sunshine State and Connecticut in the November 2020 election.

He was arrested on Thursday and faces a charge of fraud. Barnes was released from jail after paying a $2,000 bond.

Barnes is the fourth resident of the Villages to face charges of fraud for casting more than one ballot in the election.


Jay Ketcik, 63, Joan Halstead, 71, and John Rider, 61, all residents of The Villages, have been charged with casting more than one ballot in an election and faces up to five years in prison. Voter records show Halstead and Ketcik are registered Republicans. Rider, 61, has no party affiliation.
