Fox host: “I don’t really care about my 401(k)”

Fox host Jeanine Pirro declared Thursday that she doesn’t really care about her 401(k) after stocks plummeted in response to Donald Trump’s tariffs.

On Wednesday, Trump announced reciprocal baseline tariffs of 10% on all US trading partners and more targeted tariffs on many countries, including 34% on China, 20% on the European Union, 46% on Vietnam and 32% on Taiwan.

Stocks plummeted on Thursday. The Dow nosedived 1,600 points, S&P 500 and Nasdaq also suffered the worst drop since 2020

On Fox NewsThe Five, later that day, Pirro defended Trump tanking the stock market by bluntly declaring that she doesn’t care about her 401(k).

“This is what Donald Trump ran on and he’s delivering,” she said. “And you know what? I don’t really care about my 401(k) today. You know why? Not that I can afford it, not that it isn’t important, not that I’m not at a point in my life when I should be worried about my 401(k) because I am, but this is what I believe. I believe in this man.”

“The only country that I am worried about is the United States. And I really am not concerned about the other countries,” Pirro said adding that the tariffs are a negotiating tactic.

“The monies in the stock market are going to come back, okay? They always come back, okay?” she said. “And you know, for all those people having a panic attack, don’t look for the next few weeks.”
