Fox News admits that President Biden is not going to ban meat.

Fox News on Monday afternoon corrected their false claim that President Joe Biden’s climate plan includes a ban on red meat.

“On Friday, we told you about a study from the University of Michigan to give some perspective on President Biden’s ambitious climate change goals,” Fox News anchor John Roberts said. “That research, from 2020, found that cutting back how much red meat people eat would have a drastic impact on harmful greenhouse gas emissions.”

He continued: “The data was accurate but a graphic and the script incorrectly implied that it was part of Biden’s plan for dealing with climate change. That is not the case.”

The correction comes after the network ran with the lie for days forcing the United States Department of Agriculture to debunk the ridiculous claim.

“This is a fabrication. There is no such effort or policy that exists by this Administration. It’s not a part of the climate plan nor the emissions targets. It is not real,” a U. S. Department of Agriculture spokesperson told The Hill.

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack also denied that President Biden plans to ban red meat.

“There is no effort designed to limit people’s intake of beef coming out of President Biden’s White House or USDA,” Vilsack said during a virtual briefing hosted by the North American Agricultural Journalists, according to Politico. “Sometimes in the political world, games get played and issues are injected into the conversation knowing full well that there’s no factual basis.”
