Washington Post columnist and Fox News contributor Marc Thiessen called Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy “criminally stupid” and said his foreign policy proposal is “utterly disqualifying.”
Thiessen was responding to an article Ramaswamy wrote in The American Conservative laying out his plans for Russia, Ukraine, and the United States relationship with China.
“This by @VivekGRamaswamy is criminally stupid,” Thiessen wrote on Twitter before quoting from Ramaswamy’s piece.
In the article, Ramaswamy said that as president he “will accept Russian control of the occupied territories and pledge to block Ukraine’s candidacy for NATO in exchange for Russia exiting its military alliance with China. I will end sanctions and bring Russia back into the world market. In this way, I will elevate Russia as a strategic check on China’s designs in East Asia.”
“Like a freshman foreign policy paper. Utterly disqualifying,” Thiessen wrote.
