Fox News contributor: "We’ve always seen honesty with President Trump"

Fox News guest Tammy Bruce, claims Donald Trump has always been honest as the network tries to spin the former president’s visit to a NYPD cop’s wake as a demonstration of his empathy.

On Thursday, Trump attended the wake of NYPD Officer Jonathan Diller, who was killed in the line of duty. On the same day President Joe Biden attended a fundraiser with Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.

The Trump campaign, with the help of the media, have been trying to present a contrast between the two visits. They present Trump’s visits as empathic to officers and Biden’s as uncaring.

“It’s awful,” Bruce said said Friday of Biden’s fundraiser, in a clip shared by Mediaite. “And yet, it perhaps is one of the most honest evenings we’ve seen in a very long time. We’ve always seen honesty with President Trump. One thing about that guy is that you know who he is. He is always going to be himself, he never adjusts the nature of what he’s going to say or do to trick people or to pander.”

Trump showed “how he cares about, not just police officers and the firefighters, but the nature of blue-collar work. Regular everyday anonymous heroes in this country putting their lives on the line to keep their own communities safe,” she continued. “That is the ultimate of the American ideal. And so, that is Trump.”

Trump made more than 30,000 false claims during his four years in office, according to the Washington Post. Trump’s dishonesty has even cost Fox News $787 million after several of the network’s stars promoted the former president’s false claim that the 2020 presidential election was stolen.
