Fox News host argues wearing a Bulls hat ‘means you’re MS-13’

Fox News host Jesse Watters argued that mistakenly deported Maryland man Kilmar Abrego Garcia wearing a Bulls hat is proof that he is a member of MS-13.

Abrego Garcia came to the U.S. in 2011 after fleeing gang violence in El Salvador. A judge later granted him “withholding of removal to El Salvador,” a form of protected status, after ruling that he could be targeted by gangs if he is deported.

He was living in Maryland with his wife, an American citizen, and their children for years until he was detained by ICE in March over his alleged affiliation with the gang MS-13.

The Trump administration has presented no evidence to support their claim that Abrego Garcia is a member of MS-13 and even admitted in court that they deported him to a notorious Salvadoran prison due to an “administrative error.”

Still, Trump administration officials have doubled down and has ignored court orders, including a unanimous 9-0 ruling from the Supreme Court that they “facilitate” his return.

On his show Tuesday, Watters presented what he no doubt believes is overwhelming evidence that proves Abrego Garcia is a member of MS-13.

“Garcia’s a Bulls fan? But he’s from El Salvador. And he lives in Maryland, not Chicago,” Watters said. “The Bulls lost 60 games in 2019, so why the hat? Can Garcia name anyone on the team, anyone on any Bulls team besides Jordan? Everyone from El Salvador knows what it means when you wear a Bulls hat, it means you’re MS-13.”
