Fox News host Brian Kilmeade slammed Donald Trump for claiming that he won the state of Arizona in the 2020 November presidential election. He called the former president’s claim “an outright lie.”
During Kilmeade’s Fox Nation radio show on Monday a caller named Logan told him he was concerned that Trump continue to falsely claim that he won the election more than a year later which he says was rigged against him.
“There is so much to talk about that matters to you and I, Logan, right now about what’s happening in the Ukraine, how China is just forgetting about phase one, how they’re beginning to militarize everything around them, about to take Taiwan back,” Kilmeade said, according to The Hill. “That’s what people wanna talk about. It’s not hard stuff.”
Referring to comments Trump made at a recent rally in Arizona where he claimed he won the state despite GOP-backed audits saying otherwise, Kilmeade said: “Nobody cares about 2020. Nobody. And everything that he said and the challenges that he made should have been done before the election. And they did a recount in Arizona, and the recount showed no difference almost, and he came out and said it showed that they won Arizona. That’s an outright lie, and please stop wasting our time with that, because he’s capable of doing so much more.”
Biden won Arizona in 2020 by about 11,000 votes becoming the first Democrat since President Bill Clinton to do so. Since then, Republicans in the state have led efforts to investigate the election, including the infamous audit of Maricopa County election results conducted by the Cyber Ninjas which ended up reaffirming Biden’s victory.
