Fox News pundit compares slavery to plane crashes.

A Fox News pundit compared the history of slavery in the United States to plane crashes on Sunday while railing against the Smithsonian.

The Trump administration will be conducting an extensive review into the Smithsonian Institution to ensure that its exhibitions reflect Trump’s view of American history ahead of the country’s 250th birthday.

Last week Trump made it clear what his view of American history is when he slammed the Smithsonian as “out of control” for highlighting “how bad slavery was.”

In an interview on Fox News Media Buzz, Conservative radio host Clay Travis said Trump is “right” to try and whitewash history before comparing slavery to a plane crash.

“I took my son to the Smithsonian, I think the Air and Space Museum, they do a fabulous job of putting on the history of air and space,” he said. “I didn’t see a single report inside the air and space museum about plane crashes and the thousands of people who have died in them.”

“That doesn’t mean that they don’t exist. That doesn’t mean that they aren’t a substantial part of history of space and exploration and plane travel,” he continued. “I think that’s what President Trump wants the story of other Smithsonians to be like.”
